Here Are My Top 5 Favorite Skincare Products

Hello Readers, hope you all are staying safe and following all the hygienic practices diligently. Today’s topic is a bit different from what I usually write as most of the posts are directly or indirectly related to parenting or motherhood.

Why skincare? you ask, well, I learned its importance a bit late in my life. I realized that a good skincare routine should start before the sign of aging starts showing. Not that I don’t like being in my thirties or hate the signs of aging but I want my skin to stay healthy. Better late than never! I have been following a very basic ( I can’t do a 10 step routine every day) skincare routine for the past few months and have seen some visible changes in my skin.  Being a mother has taught me to read the ingredients of the product that we use for our skin or for our kid’s skin.

There are no fixed rules and one product that fits all. We have to understand our skin-type and then start with our skincare routine. Although, make sure to check that fewer chemicals and no harmful chemicals are added. I have heard some raving reviews of Amanda Jo Organic Bunny from my friends and would love to get my hands on it soon.

Here are my top five favorite skincare products that I have been using for the last six months:

  • Kapiva Aloe Vera Skin Gel

This is one of my all-time favorite products and I absolutely love the mild fragrance this one has. I have used it for my skincare and haircare routine and loved the result. The combination of a soothing sensation as well as the refreshing fragrance of this gel is sure to win hearts.

  • Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 50+

The importance of sunscreen is something that I learned pretty late. I thought this is something that should be used once we step of the house. After speaking to a skin specialist, I realized that sunscreen should be used regularly even if we are in the house. This particular sunscreen is quite hydrating and gets absorbed quickly.

  • The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Butter

Okay, this one is my mom’s favorite too. This is one brand that I genuinely love and have used quite a handful of their products. It does not make my skin greasy after a while and the texture is quite silky. The body butter is quite lightweight and can be used all year round.

  • Aroma Magic (Blossom Kochhar) Tea tree oil

Lately, I have been facing few acne issues and the onset of winters brought scalp itching too. That is when I started using this essential oil and saw visible changes in a couple of months. Essential oils are generally in pretty concentrated form which is why it is important to dilute them before using them on our skin. I mixed a few drops in coconut oil and used it in my haircare routine which reduced my scalp itching.

  • Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

Last but not least is this water gel which I have been using in my nighttime skincare routine and found it worth its price. The product hydrates the skin without leaving it to look or feel oily. It gets absorbed quite easily and has a mild fragrance. I think my skin looks a bit more supple and hydrated after using it for a few months. I use it twice a day, morning and night.

well, there you go. The products have found a place in my skincare routine and helped this mama look a bit more beautiful. Don’t forget to share your tips and tricks or some special brand that you have been loving lately in the comment section.
